5 Cool Smart Gadgets of 2015 and 3D Rendering

8 min read

The rapid changes in the Smartphone industry trick users. Users feel happy when a Smartphone brand introduces a new feature in one of its flagship phones. But the happiness is momentary as the brand may withdraw the feature in the second installment of the flagship device.

A problem

That’s a problem that the industry needs to solve. But there won’t be any solution soon. The Smartphone companies won’t be able to resist the temptation to push the profit-margin further up the ladder, and will keep introducing new devices with slight tweaks every once in awhile. They won’t let users settle with one device.

Make a choice

Assuming you want to buy a Smartphone, I’ll help you make an informed choice. I’ll introduce some of the best mobile phones to you, so you could select one from them or at least get to know the features they are offering and wait for better ones.

iPhone 6S

The device will officially arrive on 25th of this month. iPhone 6S doesn’t have anything strikingly different than iPhone 6 or iPhone 5S. The new A9 processor is speedier than the previous A8 processor. The 12MP camera is a new addition, but it’s not so new if you compare it with top Android phones of 2015.

The only thing that’s sure to delight you is the 3D touch feature. The screen is 3D touch enabled, meaning it has sensors that can understand the differences between a gentle touch and a touch applied with a lot of force. The HD screen clocks at the retina density, which is 326ppi. The 3D touch feature, along with the HD screen can allow users run 3D apps with ease. Architecture firms and 3D visualization companies can benefit from this.

Google Nexus 5X

Google must have had reasons for discontinuing Nexus 5. The decision, however, took Nexus fans with a surprise as Nexus 5 was doing well in the market. The good news (read rumors) is Google will launch a revamped Nexus 5 called Nexus 5X next month. The leaked screenshots of the device have already appeared on a Korean website.

Nexus 5X will reportedly be feature-rich. The phone will reportedly arrive with speakers on the front, fingerprint scanner on its back and a type-C USB connector. These specs are all good but not best. The best will perhaps be the 3D camera. A Twitter user called @OnLeaks reported Nexus 5X will release with a back camera that bulges out. I’m not sure whether this is the 3D camera, not sure what tasks the camera will perform either. But if it’s 3D, then it might benefit an architectural rendering company.

W 3D smartphone

At this year’s consumer electronic show, some high-end devices were showcased. One of those devices was an Android gaming Smartphone called W 3D. Some have refused to identify the device as a Smartphone and called it a handheld gaming console.

Playing 3D games on this console would be super fun. More so, the screen won’t require you to wear 3D glasses. As your eyes won’t be covered, the glassless 3D screen will track your retina movements through an embedded eye-tracking technology. More such devices putting in appearance will reduce the need for the 3D television. So put your thumbs up for the W 3D Smartphone.

Galaxy S6 Edge

This fancy toy from Samsung can capture your attention literally in no time. In my opinion, the best thing about the device is its screen. The Super AMOLED screen lets you separate each single color distinctly. Another highlight is the adaptive display technology, which delivers an immersive 3D experience. Sea waves will appear so vividly on the screen that you’ll be able to separate each movement from the other.

Moto E

Motorola launched this device in February this year. The device has a 4.5-inch screen, display resolution clocked at 540 x 960 pixels. The phone’s in-plane switch capacitive touch-screen is LCD enabled. The phone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop, which is upgradeable to Android 5.1. The performance of the Li-Ion battery is top-notch, and the phone supports the latest networking standards such as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth v4.0.

It may not be the best phone out there, but you’ll get what you are paying money for.

Select prudently

All five Smart devices discussed in this article are equipped enough to give you an enjoyable Smart browsing experience. Some of those phones are even suitable for 3D visualization. So decide which one of them would suit your budget and other preferences.
