If a member of staff is too stressed, the may struggle to focus and/or be efficient. It may cause headaches or other more serious health-related issues. This is why more and more, business owners and learning the importance of a ‘chill-out’ room in the office. Whatever name you want to give it, what is important is that it is a place where people can leave behind work for a while. Comfortable seating, some fun games and some sort of vending machine are all musts.



Daily Professional Cleaning

We’ve already touched upon tackling stress. Let’s branch out to a wider issue and that of the cleanliness of the office. With so many staff and people, daily cleaning is a must. Bacteria forms quickly on things like keyboards, desks and office kettles! If you want to know how to choose a quality commercial cleaning company, look for ones with a good reputation. Alternatively, ask other business managers and owner in the area who they use. See a couple of different agencies to find the right fit for you. Also, equip each section of your office with their own personal desk cleaner and cloth. Encourage them to wipe down their desk every night before leaving.

Sitting correctly at a desk is so important, especially for long period of time. If staff are not sitting correctly at their desks, it may be down to their chair. Sitting incorrectly can lead to issues such as bad postures, headaches, sore limbs and other aches. Over time, staff may even need time off work to get these issues remedied. Counteract this from the start, and be sure they are using the correct seats. Follow the latest health and safety guidelines to be sure you are providing them with the right seats.

    This is really a good piece of information, but when it comes to cleaning, employees should understand their individual responsibilities. For example, there should not be any clutter in their cubicles. Wrappers of chocolates, biscuits and other eatables should be there in the drawer of the cubicle.
