Pattadakal

This place is known across the world for its Chalukyan temples which date back to the 7th and 8th centuries. Pattadakal has nine Hindu temples which stand out because of their exquisite architecture, design and sculpture. These temples display a perfect combination of North and South Indian architectural styles. It is one of the best examples of the Dravidian style of architecture.

Hampi

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Hampi is one of the most popular tourist places in Karnataka. It is well known for housing more than 500 monuments of the Vijayanagar Empire. Hampi was the capital of the Vijayanagar Empire which lasted from A.D 1336 to A.D 1565. The Royal Enclosure was the seat of the kings.

Some of the most popular tourist attractions of Bangalore include Ulsoor Lake, Lal Bagh Park, Cubbon Park, Vidhana Soudha and Tipu Sultan Palace. Lal Bagh is spread over 240 acres. This botanical garden was built in 18th century by Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan. This beautiful garden is home to some of rare species of flora and fauna.
